I really hate all the barbie bashing. Shes an american icon and shes not trashy. I think shes a great role model. She takes care of babies, sisters, has a husband, (or steady boyfriend) several dream houses and nice cars, she’s been a dentist, vet, doctor, business woman, fairy, ballerina, princess, rockstar, anything a little girl wants to be. Whats a bratz doll. A hooker? People need to start looking at the bratz dolls and get over the jealousy of not being perfect like barbie. She’s great for girls and I don’t think they should change a thing.

Me I’d be a Ken doll. Not only is Barbie hot, she lives in all kinds of dream houses, has tons of money, and drives sweet cars! How hard could his life be?

…merchandise, services, rooms for rent, etc. in the Penny Saver? I received one in the mail the other day and for kicks, decided to flip through it. As I did I couldn’t help but wonder if people ever had buyers actually call them to purchase their .00 Barbie Dream Houses. *chuckles*

I can see where a person my be wary of young girls’ exposure to Barbies might lead to higher expecations of what society might consider beautiful (or successful, considering Barbie’s lifestyle*), but are they not worried about the psychological implications that other toys may carry? I’m noticing that Barbie has stepped out of the spotlight, while Bratz have seemed to take center stage. Personally, I’m more afraid of the long-term affects of Bratz than Barbie. Bratz to me look like little more than ghetto bizatches who spend what letting money they have on bling. Is no one worried about young girls wanting not only to be hot, but hot with lowered expectations in life?

**Barbie is clearly disgustingly rich, considering all the dream houses, RVs, sportcars, and warehouses of clothes she can afford.
That should say "what LITTLE money", not "letting".

i had a dream, i had a barbie dream house and mi sister had 2 barbie dreamhouses so then i had a rat and my sister threw one of her barbie dream houses away n i asked her if i could have it for my rat n she wouldnt let me! the rat was white and black what does it mean

I bought my girlfriend’s daughter one of those barbie dream houses, but it doesn’t come with any dolls, i’d like to know if anyone out there would know where to find some dolls by themselves, no extra stuff in the box, just the doll. Thanks in advance.
