This is my fourth Christmas with Nick. Christmas is suppose to be a joyous time of year. It is about celebrating Christ’s birth, and holding our love ones dear. It is so easy for me to get wrapped up in the world’s view of Christmas. I think of all of the things my friends may be doing for Christmas. Buying gifts, traveling, and dining in the most expensive places. Yes I do want all of those things, yet they are hard to have when we don’t have much money. I know I would feel much worse if I didn’t have Nick in my life. I just wish I could give him everything and more this Christmas. I can’t lie either, I want things for myself too. I dream about one Christmas getting a beautiful diamond engagement ring, and Nick proposing to me. I shouldn’t need to fantasize about some picture in my mind that may never happen. I think I just have the holiday blues or something. I remember a much simpler place and time when I was a little girl in Michigan. I loved Christmas Eve get together’s at my mother’s Aunt Rose’s house. All of the people I loved in one place. I could receive all the attention I wanted, and get a few small gifts like a Barbie, a nice sweater, or blouse. I was so happy to just receive something as simple as that. I don’t feel it takes a lot to make me happy at times, but I know I can be pretty high maintenance at times. I think the world’s interpretation of what things should be gets in the way of what happiness truly is and can be. Is it normal to feel this way???

I kno this is probably a dumb question.
Me and my cousin used to play Barbie riding club when we were about 9 or 10 years old. If you remember the part in that game where barbie finds that abandoned house where that little girl named Emma and her family used to live. Well when we got to that part of the game we could’ve sworn we heard barbie say "Let’s go find dead Emma." and we thought it was a glitch in the game and it was kind of freaky. Does anyone remember anything like that if you have played that game?

ok i had a dream last night, ok i will tell u my dream. i woke up in the morning and went in my basement, then the alarm for my house went off. so i went to go shot it off and i saw a man so i ran. but then when i went to my mom i said turn off the alarm. i was holding my ears. the alarm was killing my ears! it hurt and it was loud! then my mom goes i dont hear the alarm. WHAT I SAY! its loud!!!!!!!! im screaming at the top of my lungs! my moms telling me to stop. then all the sudden it went off. my face wasnt red anymore. i told her i saw a man and then the alarm went on and the sound hurt. she said well ur dreaming. so then i went back in the basement. then the lamp flew off the table. i didnt even bother to get up i was so scared. then i saw a black figure step in front of the TV i was so mad i went up to the figure and touched him. my hand went right threw. i ran upstairs. then my mom said were going out soon. so then i heard someone knocking on the door and it was alittle girl with a barbie doll, i didnt know who she was. she ask me to go outside and play. i ask my mom and my mom wanted to meat her but when my mom got to the door the little girl ran away like she wasnt real. so when it was time to leave we went to my cousins house. then my cousins wanted to pull a late april fools day joke cuz yesterday was april fools, so then they pushed me in the street they were screaming rum theres a car and they put something on top of me like a blinket. then i screamed. then they said april fools! then i heard them screaming run RUN RUN!!!!! so when i got the blinket off i got hit by a car, then i woke up…. does this dream mean something
i remember so much cuz it didnt feel like a dream at all, it felt so real. thats y i ask if this dream means something.

It was a mystery game and you got to go on a beach, and through a ton of trails to go to a house of a little girl or something, and you got to feed the horse apples and wash it and take care of it ike you would in reality…..

what was the name of the game?? i loved it but i wanted to buy it online somewhere for my little cousin for christmas.

ok when i was like around 10 years old i was at my g-ma’s house watching a movie about a babysitter who was babysitting this little girl who had many barbie dolls that if u didnt treat them the same they would get mad at try to hurt the girl. i thought the babysitter was jessica simpson but i cant seem to find the movie so if u know any movies that r anything like that, please tell me!!!

They have the big eyes with makeup up to their brows, long painted eyelashes, lip liner around their huge lips and skimpy clothing. Porn star is what i see on the shelf.

I really hate all the barbie bashing. Shes an american icon and shes not trashy. I think shes a great role model. She takes care of babies, sisters, has a husband, (or steady boyfriend) several dream houses and nice cars, she’s been a dentist, vet, doctor, business woman, fairy, ballerina, princess, rockstar, anything a little girl wants to be. Whats a bratz doll. A hooker? People need to start looking at the bratz dolls and get over the jealousy of not being perfect like barbie. She’s great for girls and I don’t think they should change a thing.

These were my favorites when I was a little girl but I don’t remember the names that were on their boxes (I re-named them Jamie and Gabby).

BQ: Did anyone else who loved barbies hate Ken? I did – I only had one and he was always dead in every story line. I stole my brother’s GI Joes to be my barbies’ boyfriends.

I mean specific things that I would like to have back. Our house burned and I want some things back. Like a dream Glow Barbie and Ken doll, An original Nintendo NES with the first 3 Mario Bros. games and Duck Hunt, Lady Lovely Locks, just lots of little girl things that I had and lost. There’s more but I can’t list all of them. I’m just 31 so they shouldn’t be extremely hard to find I just don’t know how.

What dollhouse do I buy my daughter and when? My friend and I are having this same big debate! I was looking at the Loving Family dollhouse or the Caring Corner Dollhouse for her third birthday. I figured Barbies were good for next year (turning 4). Then… there are big Kidkraft ones that would be nice for that. But you don’t need the dollhouse now and then the big Barbie one next year… right?

Right now she has the Fisher Price "my first dollhouse" and plenty of Petshop and Tiny Pony stuff. I need advice from a mom off a little girl who knows!!!
She doesn’t put things in her mouth at all. She has a play kitchen. She has an older brother and so he had one. And she has played with that since about 18 months. She is pretty imaginative for her age!

Im growing up and im not the little girl that wants a Barbie Dream House anymore.I’m getting older and realizing that I have to make the most of the time I have to be a kid.So im making a to do list of things to do before I turn 15 so I need idea’s.Give me idea’s of things that you have done or things that you think are fun about your state or hometown.xoxo Aly Grace
